I'm an adventurous guy who likes to tell stories and share beautiful people, places and things with others.
Video, photography, design and storytelling are my passion and I am blessed to get to do it for a living! I currently work as the Pastor of Communications at Eastview Christian Church where I lead a wonderful team of artists from various disciplines. It’s a blast creating content with this team that advances the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love bringing God’s Word to life through using visual stories that appeal to the mind and the heart.
Before working at Eastview I was a senior art director at an advertising agency working in integrated campaign development. During my time at the agency I worked with companies ranging from fortune 500 companies to small local nonprofits. I have worked with clients who had multimillion dollar budgets and clients with very little resources. I have taken this experience into ministry to produce high quality content that reflects professional standards, creative storytelling and a Biblical worldview.
Beyond my work experience both inside and outside the church, I have a deep passion for Christ and ministry. I grew up outside of the church and came to Christ when I turned 16. Shortly after I went on to study Biblical Theology at Lincoln Christian College. I discovered my love for visual art while serving as a worship leader at a church in Fort Collins, Colorado. After this I returned to school to get my degree in graphic design from Illinois State University. Now I have a deep calling to serve God vocationally through leading in visual art and storytelling.
When I am not behind a camera or a computer I am enjoying my wonderful family. My wife Kari and I have been married for 19 years and she’s the love of my life. I have three high energy kids (Jonah 15, Ben 13 and Mariah 10) who keep us on our toes. I am humbled everyday that I get to lead them. Between God's grace, getting paid for doing what I am passionate about, my adventures in life and my family I am blessed beyond measure.
