I'm a passionate and creative leader.

I'm a passionate, creative leader dedicated to advancing life change through strategic planning, developing staff culture, recruiting volunteers, and creating resources, environments, and pathways for discipleship. As the Pastor of Communications and Digital Ministries at Northside Christian Church, I lead a talented team focused on Kingdom-driven impact. With over a decade of experience across two mega-church environments, I bring a commitment to transformative ministry.

Before entering church ministry, I worked as a Senior Art Director at an advertising agency. I created integrated campaigns for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local nonprofits, managing large and small budgets. This professional experience has enriched my approach to ministry.

My passion for Christ and ministry is deep-rooted. Growing up outside the church, I came to faith at 16 and later pursued Biblical Theology at Lincoln Christian College. Serving as a campus ministry pastor and worship leader in Fort Collins, Colorado, I discovered a love for communication, leading me to earn a degree in graphic design from Illinois State University. My calling is clear: to serve God through leadership in the local church.

Outside of ministry, I cherish time with my family. My wife, Kari, has been my partner for 27 years and remains the love of my life. She has worked for 30 years as a systems analyst in accounting at State Farm Insurance. We are blessed with three incredible adult children who love the Lord and bear fruit for His Kingdom.

Our oldest son, Jonah, will complete his undergraduate studies at Moody Bible Institute this spring and continue his education with a master’s in counseling at Colorado Christian University in fall 2025. Our middle son, Ben, is a junior in nursing at Cedarville University and plans to pursue an M.D. to become a doctor. Our youngest, Mariah, will begin graphic design and marketing studies at Abilene Christian University in the fall of 2025. I am immensely proud of who they have become.

I have the privilege of leading my family (also known as"Team Prokes") every day, and I feel profoundly blessed by God's grace, a fulfilling career, and the adventures of life.
